Origin: Egypt
Size: 13 inches
This vase is made of alabaster sourced from the town of Amarna, Egypt on the East bank of the Nile river. The stone is a mineral that has a unique translucence to the soft rock. Fine alabaster is used in contemporary times to form fine sculptures and was once used as perfume jars in the late 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt (1341BC-1323BC).

Due to the natural substance of the stone, it cannot be left in sunlight nor can it be cleaned or washed with any chemicals (dishwasher detergent or sprays)—doing so may ruin the translucence of the stone
