Meet The Founders

Manal Moussa

Manal was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. Her family immigrated to the U.S. in 1991. She met Father Elisha in the U.S. while he was visiting. After getting married, they moved to start a family in Kenya where she has been serving since 2002. In 2003, she co-found Mission for Christ (MFC), a non-profit organization to serve the various physical, spiritual, and emotional needs faced in the communities of Kenya and South Africa. She moved back with Father Elisha in 2018 to establish Leaving the Jar under MFC in the U.S. 

Isaac Akladeos

Issac was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. In 2002, he moved to Zambia and co-founded Mission for Christ. He wrote and published Whispers of a Missionary in 2016. He is also the founder of Arts for Good, a non-profit organization that partners up with charities to raise money through artwork. Issac got married and moved to the U.S. and is currently continuing the mission work through training others and sharing the gospel with different cultures.
